Yalda is a night elf located in Auberdine in Darkshore. She is translucent but not stealthed. She stands next to a house just east of the inn. Yalda serves no in-game purpose, despite her conspicuous appearance.

NotesEdit

In early versions of the game, the house was wrecked, leading to speculation that Yalda was some sort of ghost, but the house now stands in order. She does not alert the Auberdine guards.

The word "Yalda" means "child" or "young girl" in Hebrew.

There is a Festival In Iran Called "Yalda Night". It's Celebrated in Winter Solstice when the Night is the Longest.

CataclysmEdit

This section concerns content exclusive to Cataclysm.

Yalda becomes a quest giver, after the Cataclysm destroys Auberdine.
