Background Edit

Yves Legard was a wizard of Dalaran who was slain while defending the Violet Citadel from the Scourge during the Third War. After his death, he was raised as an undead sorcerer.

During a battle with the tauren shaman Mairn Graytotem of the White Kodo Clan, an interaction of arcane and nature magic bound the spirits of the sorcerer and shaman together. The connection gave each a limited amount of control and influence over the other, and both have sought to break the tie. When the sorcerer's link to the Scourge was broken, it divided his consciousness into two personalities: that of the human mage Yves, and that of the Scourge sorcerer. The sorcerer personality, which Yves refers to as Malefice, is dominant and thus retains control of the body. Malefice enjoys nothing more than tormenting his other half.

Currently, the sorcerer is plotting Mairn's demise.
