Zaj'tal was a naga spellcaster. He once attacked and defeated a night elf sentry guarding an Alliance encampment, claiming he would disfigure the sentry's face and enjoy doing so. ^{M&M 58-59}

Later, while searching for a scepter, Zaj'tal had his minions destroy a night elf village. He then battled a pandaren wardancer, Shinjo Greatpaw, who had friends in that village. ^{DF 15}
